Know What the Price Covers
Confirm whether the proposal includes pumping, wash-down, access and disposal. Cleaning-only pricing does not automatically include every part of a pump-out. Deeper cleaning should be a separately agreed, suitable step.
Protect the Tank’s Structure
Inspect for damaged walls, partitions or connections before aggressive cleaning. Concrete, fiberglass and molded tanks need methods that respect their condition and manufacturer’s instructions.
Check the Outlet Filter
A clogged filter or damaged outlet can cause slow flow even when most waste has been removed. Clean accessible components appropriately and distinguish a maintenance item from a broken part that needs repair.
Identify Treatment Equipment
Powered or advanced systems have model-specific servicing requirements. Avoid disturbing media, aerators or controls with a general wash-down. A clean tank is not proof that the treatment process is functioning.
Separate Commercial Waste Streams
Describe the facility use and whether grease-interceptor or other waste is involved. Volume, handling and approved disposal affect the service. Household septic cleaning should not be used as a scope for industrial waste.
